Family-centered services to help children grow into the people they deserve to be

The CCHNC has been nurturing and helping children develop the skills they need to live a fulfilling life for over 130 years, and with your help, our work can continue for many years to come

Serving Children Since 1883

The mission of the Central Children’s Home is to provide family-centered services via an appropriate period of residential group care for children and youth aged 9–21. These children cannot remain at home due to dependency, neglect, or abuse, so we provide a wholesome atmosphere that is conducive to their emotional, educational, social, spiritual, and physical growth and development, which promotes positive family functioning and successful independent living.

The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina is licensed through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
