Serving Children Since 1883
The mission of the Central Children’s Home is to provide family-centered services via an appropriate period of residential group care for children and youth aged 9–21. These children cannot remain at home due to dependency, neglect, or abuse, so we provide a wholesome atmosphere that is conducive to their emotional, educational, social, spiritual, and physical growth and development, which promotes positive family functioning and successful independent living.
The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina is licensed through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
The CCHNC operates a range of programs to foster the physical, mental, and spiritual health of our charges, and prepare them for positive family functioning and independent living
We rely on donations from people just like you to perform our important work, and there are many ways you can help
